Get To Know Me

Hi! I’m Danny Denhard, Coach, Consultant, and Advisor.

I am helping ambitious leaders and companies sharpen focus, improve performance, and unlock growth.

Over two decades, I’ve delivered results for marketplaces, household names and challenger brands, working across marketplaces, B2B, B2C, and product-led businesses.

My experience spans agency and in-house leadership, interim C-suite roles, and advising fast-moving startups and scale-ups.

I’ve served as CMO, CGO, and Product Advisor, and I know what it takes to steady a department, align teams, and drive measurable outcomes.

At JustGiving:

  • I was part of the senior leadership team, building a dedicated Growth Department and maturing Marketing pre- and post £100m acquisition.

  • I led take Crowdfunding from £2m p/a to £100m in four years, revised pricing that contributed to profits rising from £4.4m to £9.6m, and supported the transition to more effective operating models.

  • And I oversaw the global Marketing Organisational restructure post-JustGiving’s acquisition by Blackbaud ($BLKB)

I’ve held interim CMO and CGO roles at marketplaces in luxury and travel, and advised leaders from Nike, BBC, and Cleo AI to VetAI, SimilarWeb, and McLaren.

What I offer is a practical partnership:

  • I coach executives to develop PQ (political intelligence), EQ, and work IQ; I consult to diagnose and fix performance issues; and I advise businesses that need clarity, challenge, and accountability.

  • My work includes interim C-suite leadership (1–6 months), department audits (org design, people performance, and operations), marketing and growth consultancy, and bespoke AI workshops that build confidence, select the right tools, and embed AI into workflows.

  • I also run problem-solving hackathons designed to go from problem to prototype to roadmap in a day.

Leaders work with me when they need to make progress fast—whether it’s a reset of the department, a cross-functional operating model, or a structured plan to hit stretch goals. I’m direct yet supportive, and I balance ambition with pragmatism: we work on what you need, not just what you want.

If you’re a CEO, CMO, CGO, VP Marketing, CPO, or Founder looking to improve outcomes, reshape strategy, or bridge an executive transition, I’m here to help. Let’s define the right path → refresh, reset, reboot, or restart and deliver the work that moves your business forward.

I don’t just talk; I deliver actionable content each and every week:

I have a weekly Marketing leadership newsletter called Marketing Unfiltered with over 2500 marketing leaders who subscribe and I’ve just finished an 87-episode podcast called AI Moment, helping business leaders understand and drive business improvements.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Danny Denhard is a commercially driven Growth, Marketing, and Product executive with more than twenty-four years of international leadership experience transforming how businesses scale, operate, and deliver measurable growth. Having led in-house teams, agencies, consultancies, and marketplace business units across Europe, North America, India, and Australasia, he brings a rare 360-degree operating perspective that connects strategy, product, marketing, data, and organisational design into one unified growth system.

Danny is recognised for turning business strategy into clear, measurable objectives while acting as the connective tissue between creative, technical, operational, and commercial teams. His leadership focuses on redesigning how organisations work by removing silos, improving cross-functional collaboration, and building scalable operating systems that align execution directly to business outcomes. Boards and executive teams consistently value his ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership, operating equally effectively as a player-coach, transformation leader, and trusted executive advisor.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS & COMMERCIAL IMPACT

His most notable achievement was leading JustGiving’s peer-to-peer crowdfunding business unit from $5.5 million to $135 million in annual transaction volume by engineering a new growth flywheel and advanced marketplace growth loops focused on acquisition, retention, and referral optimisation. Through a dedicated eight-person cross-functional growth team spanning Product, UX, Engineering, Data, and Marketing, he reduced reliance on performance marketing, improved CAC efficiency, increased ROI, and helped establish JustGiving as the market-leading crowdfunding platform in EMEA.

At JustGiving, Danny also led the global Marketing restructure following the platform’s $135 million acquisition by Blackbaud (BLKB), navigating brand mergers across multiple territories while delivering a record profitability year, increasing profit from $5.9 million to $13 million through a business model shift from flat fees to a tip jar model.

As Interim CGO at TrustedHouseSitters, a global two-sided marketplace following a private equity acquisition, Danny led the redesign of company-wide growth operations. This included implementing cross-functional “alliance” structures across Product, Data, Marketing, and Engineering, developing new operating frameworks, and embedding experimentation, lifecycle optimisation, and growth accountability into the organisation’s core operating model.

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY & METHODOLOGY

Across his career, Danny has specialised in transforming traditional marketing departments into integrated growth organisations. Drawing on LEAN methodology, organisational design principles, and the jobs-to-be-done framework, he redesigns teams and operating environments to maximise

strengths, eliminate bottlenecks, and create more agile, accountable, and commercially aligned growth functions.

His “think big, act small, by when” approach, an adaptation of an established organisational framework, combines first-principles thinking with measurable execution disciplines that allow organisations to scale with clarity and speed. This methodology has been applied across PE- backed businesses, high-growth consumer platforms, and complex two-sided marketplace environments.

AI TRANSFORMATION & FUTURE OF COMMERCE

Danny is a recognised thought leader in Marketing, Growth and AI transformation, regularly advising executive leadership teams on the future of AI-enabled commerce, organisational redesign, and human-plus- AI operating models.

He believes the next era of business growth will be defined not simply by AI deployment, but by how effectively companies redesign workflows, teams, governance, and customer experiences around intelligent systems and agentic AI environments.

His work increasingly focuses on helping organisations co-design AI-native operating models where human judgement and automated systems work together to create scalable competitive advantage. He hosts AI enablement workshops for enterprise organisations, publishes the “Marketing Unfiltered” leadership newsletter reaching over 2,500 subscribers, and leads discussions on the future of Growth, AI, and organisational transformation through his executive podcast and advisory work.
